1.My current activities

【Sale of automotive coatings and handling of coating line workflows】

I handle automotive manufacturers’ body detailing plants. I go in person to see their coating production lines and assist them with considering deploying new colors, launching investigations to determine the cause of malfunction on their lines, and so on. Based on their requirements, I propose suggestions and improvements. In the event of a malfunction, I work with the coating manufacturers to launch investigations.

2.Approach to work

【Maintaining a sense of responsibility at all times】

In the event of a malfunction on the coating line, the first step is ascertaining accurate information from the field. When conveying the issue to the coating manufacturer, a lack of data leads to a slower response, which negatively affects the impression we leave on the customer.
Furthermore, incorrect coating orders can, in the worst of cases, bring the line to a halt and lead to major issues. For that reason, I exercise the utmost caution when going about my job.

3.What makes the work rewarding

【When clients express their gratitude】

I feel a huge sense of accomplishment when clients thank me about the little things, such as when consulting on an unresolved issue or checking on day-to-day details.

4.Ueda KK as a company

【A collegial work environment】

Each sales office has a small number of personnel, so it’s easy to work closely with people in the administrative, logistics, and sales groups. All of the sales offices make themselves openly available, so we can quickly share information.

5.Issues I felt when first joining

I assumed that the majority of my work would revolve around only going on site in the event of a user issue or meetings, but I found myself often going to clients’ coating production lines of my own volition to get more information on a regular basis.

6.A message to future colleagues

Coatings are not something sold in exclusion -- their real value lies in the services around them. Coatings are essential to many items like buildings and automobiles, without which the value of those products would decrease by perhaps half or more.
This is a unique product that requires a wide range of specialized knowledge, which can at times be a challenge, but you stand to gain a lot from the experience of working with coatings. I look forward to working with you one day.

1.My current activities

【Sales of automotive paint and follow-up at paint line】

I'm in charge of a bumper production plant for an automobile manufacturer.
When testing a new color or there are some issues at the paint line, I would be there at the plant in order to provide proposals and implement improvement actions. I even help customers in preparation including diluting paint and taking measurements time to time.

2.Approach to work

【To verify every step of the operation】

A small error in the early stage, such as placing the wrong order for paint or using the wrong dilution for paint will have a huge implication later. Therefore, I make sure to pay attention to each and every step throughout the process.
Clear and accurate communication is another thing which can impact the whole operation. I am very careful about conveying the correct information at all times.

3.What makes the work rewarding

【Maintaining good human relations is the key】

I feel satisfaction when my customers are happy because everything went smoothly including arrangements for paint, the results of paint job, interaction with manufacturers, etc. In addition, I'm always delighted when asked by the customers my inputs or opinions.

4.Ueda KK as a company

【Friendly atmosphere】

Small number of employees makes it easy to get to know everyone. I can freely ask for advise in a family-like friendly environment.

5.Issues I felt when first joining

I thought my job would end when I complete a sale of paint; however, that was not the case. I would physically be at paint line, helping customers with various things including diluting paint.
It is not a desk job at all. I wear work clothes more often than a suit. Sometimes, I get paint all over me!

6.A message to future colleagues

Working with paint may sound difficult. But if you look around, paint is everywhere, providing colors to our lives literary and figuratively.
Anyone can gain knowledge and experience. All you need is a can-do attitude!
